Working as an artist, musician and educator..
I am interested in relationships between bodies and possible worlds....
...in the ways our bodies both touch and are touched by the narratives they create, moving through the surfaces of their surroundings, slipping into worlds both solitary and communal....
In my practice I explore creating, sharing and collapsing possible worlds predominantly through the materials of sound and space.
~I have always been drawn to these materials for the way they intertwine with one another and with the body~
Sometimes this takes the format of sound composition, performance, sound installation, video, writing, publishing, map making, conversations, events, exhibitions, listening sessions or ‘tour guiding’
~These practices are always intertwined with listening, feeling, observing, learning, participating, giving, sharing and supporting~
I enjoy researching and facilitating methodologies for developing connections between places and bodies… considering old rituals, ways and practices, experimenting and collaborating to create new ones.... bringing people together… learning and supporting... celebrating and embracing possible worlds with one another.
